The Assistance Fund is an independent charitable patient assistance foundation that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs by providing financial assistance for their copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and other health-related expenses

Assistance is provided for particular diagnosed conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Various Cancers,
  • Crohn's Disease,
  • Cystic Fibrosis,
  • Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy,
  • Hemophilia,

Henrico Area Mental Health and Developmental Services (HAMHDS) offers a Family Support Program for families caring for an individual with developmental disability. Limited funds are available on a first come basis for income eligible families to help with expenses like behavior consultations, summer camp, summer school, special equipment and emergencies.
